Molino de Urdániz restaurant opened its doors in Taipei in 2019.
The branch of David Yárnoz’s haute cuisine in the capital of Taiwan is a dream come true. An adventure and a responsibility that the whole team has assumed with the necessary professionalism to achieve a Michelin Star in a few months. Four years later, in 2023, they have earned their second MICHELIN Star.
The idea of bringing the unique flavors of Navarrese cuisine to Asia was born when the Taiwanese businessman Arthur Wang came across the Molino de Urdániz restaurant during one of his visits to Navarra. In love with its gastronomic proposal, he proposed to David Yárnoz to move it 11,000 kilometers away. An unimpressive offer.
The project was gestated in countless trips and thanks to a valuable cultural exchange with the training of Taiwanese chefs in Urdániz and the transfer of part of the Navarrese team to the Taiwanese capital.
Molino de Urdániz Taipei was born with the aspiration of becoming an ambassador of Navarrese cuisine in Taiwan and has established itself as a reference restaurant in the city, where diners enjoy an excellent menu and a pleasant atmosphere.
The restaurant offers most of the dishes that make up the tasting menu of Molino de Urdániz** and has a selection of references of the D.O. Navarra in its cellar.
Origen Penghu
The Origen restaurant has recently opened its doors in the heart of what is known as the “most beautiful bay in the world”, the Taiwanese island of Penghu.
A space where a paradisiacal landscape converges with the gastronomic proposal of traditional Navarrese cuisine by David Yárnoz.
Origen’s menu is based on classic Navarrese recipes reinvented under the innovative and creative prism of David Yárnoz. Dishes such as beans with vegetables, tripe or pig’s trotters are part of the Origen Penghu proposal.
The menu is prepared with first class products from local suppliers and in some cases ingredients have been substituted for local raw materials.
The opening of Origen Penghu has been very well received and represents a new boost to the internationalization of Molino de Urdániz.
